This is a blog so expect the occasional post or rant as I like to call them. I write whatever comes to mind and what I think today may not be true tomorrow. Do not harp on me if you see me quote something wrongly or if in due time I change my views on a topic. A post is a snapshot of what I thought about a certain topic at said time. As humans we evolve and learn every day, so I actually hope my blog reflects that ;)
If you come across mistakes, may they be factual, grammatical or anything else, I did not make said mistakes with intent to harm or displease ;) ... if you feel very strongly about a mistake, feel free to send me a note about it. No need to chastise me publicly (or even privately).
I might at times link you to an outside source. I will try to keep the links up to date, but the internet is an everchanging plethora of information and what once linked to the proper content, may not link to the same place a while later. Apologies for such occurances and if you find this offensive enough to make you mad, please drop me a note.
This blogs reflects my love for that great game called hockey. Sometimes in the heat of the moment I may speak less favourably about the opponents of my favourite teams, broadcast announcers and everyone else tied to hockey. Please understand that when I say someone should be shot or killed or something along those lines I am not talking in a literal sense! Nor would I wish something bad happen upon anyone or anything mentioned in my posts. No, it is a simple case of my emotions getting to me, making me mad at the world in general and I probably needed some hating to vent my frustrations. On a day to day basis I am in fact the most harmless person in the world.
Next topic. Photographs, graphic images and videos. At times I will probably post something I created on my own, but lets face it: I live across the Atlantic, all the way in the Netherlands. Chances are minimal that I will be using my own work. Believe me, I would if I could! So most of the photography you come across here is not owned by me. Most likely I will have found the pictures on NHL.com or ESPN America. For video footage I will most likely link my readers to NHL.com. Also, if a photo or video offends you - not that I know why hockey photography/videos should - let me know. If I agree I may even be willing to remove said offending item :p
To be clear my dear readers, do not hold me libel for what I say or display. The content of this blog is my opinion and not intended to malign any religion, ethnic group, club, organization, company, or individual or anyone or thing.
So far I have only seen a few comments on my articles - not sure if that is bad or good - but let me point out that I am not responsible for what others choose to say in the blog comments. I am not liable for the words of other people, nor the laws which they may break in the country you are currently residing in or even in the country said writer resides in. Oh yeah, this is about their content, implication and intent.
Next topic. Money making. I added some Google stuff here, not too intrusive. Might make a handful of euros in a year. It might cover for an infinitisemal portion of time and dedication I spend on this blog. Should this blog ever explode into a money making machine I will let you lot know lol but do not hold your breath hahah. At this moment in time, no one has ever clicked on an ad and frankly, you do not have to lol ... just curious about the concept.
{edit JUne 10th, 2011 ... got five clicks!! I made € 1.98 lol}
Copyright is an important issue too. You are permitted to share my articles but no more than the first paragraph. For a full read please redirect your reader to the full article on my blog (anotheruselesshockeyblog.blogspot.com). If you quote me or share a link, please attribute it to me and do not make it look as if I endorse your site (no idea why you would want that anyways, I am hardly considered an expert lol). If you want to enter some sort of cooperation with me, lets discuss!
Also do not alter, transform or build upon my work and pass it off as your own :p and finally my work is protected by European Copyright Law. For more info, get schooled here: http://ec.europa.eu/internal_market/copyright/index_en.htm
Guys, having read all this, please understand I am just someone who likes to share musings about hockey. It is an addictive game and brings out a lot of emotions in me. Whatever I write here is a fun way to vent some of my thoughts. Most posts will be written in the heat of the moment and believe me, I am not writing things to willfully hurt anyone's feelings. So for the love of *insert your own fave here* ... please do not sue me over my posts. I cannot afford it lol ... I am happy when I make it through a month without having to skip paying a few bills ;)
This disclaiming is tiring business. I give thanks to Lorelle VanFossen. She shared a lot of great tips and I basically followed all of those. You can read the article here: http://www.blogherald.com/2007/10/02/writing-a-blog-disclaimer/
